On Friday, October 16, 2015 the National Association of Insurance Commissioners issued a "Cybersecurity Bill of Rights" as part of an ongoing effort by its newly created Cybersecurity Task Force. Earlier in the year the NAIC Task Force also issued "Principles for Effective Cybersecurity: Insurance Regulatory Guidance." On September 15, 2015,  North Dakota Commissioner and Chair of the NAIC Cybersecurity Task Force Adam Hamm spoke at an event co-sponsored by the NAIC and the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) to discuss the task force's efforts and their plans for the future CSIS: Managing Cyber Risk and the Role of Insurance. The NAIC Cybersecurity Task Force's mission will continue to focus on the impact that cybersecurity has on the insurance market and plans to work on a number of important initiatives over the coming months. This effort is being worked in parallel with the insurance industry's efforts to create a more robust marketplace for cyber insurance and in conjunction with their efforts with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security
