Walk Of Shame' Copyright Suit Formally Tossed

A California Federal judge tossed a lawsuit on Friday, claiming Elizabeth Banks' 2014 comedy "Walk of Shame" was taken from an unproduced screenplay.

A California Federal judge tossed a lawsuit on Friday, claiming Elizabeth Banks' 2014 comedy "Walk of Shame" was taken from an unproduced screenplay. The judge ruled the two works only shared "isolated similarities."

The ruling dismissed the entire lawsuit against the defendants and found that screenwriter Dan Rosen's screenplay could not be protected under copyright law.

David Aronoff and Ilyssa Adler defended Producer Todd Garner and Broken Road Productions.
