An alternative-medicine provider has the ability to provide extra care as well as draw new business to your practice, that is, if it is done legally as well as with the cooperation of your current providers.

Fox Rothschild attorney, William Maruca explains that alt-medicine is increasingly covered by state law and medical licensure requirements. He explains that Florida provides licenses to acupuncturists and naturopaths as "health care practitioners" who may, with few restrictions, "recommend any mode of treatment that is, in his or her judgment, in the best interests of the patient."
