Brett Myers was quoted in the Law360 article "What New Litigators Can Do To Win Their First Trial." Full text can be found in the April 29, 2015, issue, but a synopsis is below.

Law360 asked seasoned attorneys to give advice to new lawyers on how to best go about their first trial.

"Spend time in the courtroom with the judge. Sit in on a few hearings or a trial to get a feel for the way the court operates," said Brett Myers. "Become friends with the bailiff and court reporter. They can give you an idea of the way the trial day passes in the courtroom. You will have time during the breaks in trial to refocus your thoughts, but you really cannot prepare enough. Jurors love exhibits more than live testimony. Stay organized because the jury hates watching a lawyer dig through materials. Always have a witness ready to testify. Do not overestimate your effectiveness cross-examining a witness."
