Marie J. Jones, Mariel J. Giletto, Harry S. Jackson and Christian J. Fisher were featured in Finance Monthly for their involvement in the transaction of Amaya's Acquisition of Rational Group. Full text can be found in the Dealmaker of the Year Awards 2014 issue, but a synopsis is below.

A team of Fox Rothschild attorneys, led by Marie Jones, and consisting of Mariel Giletto, Christian Fisher and Harry Jackson, served as special gaming counsel for Amaya Gaming Group, Inc., a leading supplier of gaming equipment and software, in its acquisition of 100 percent of privately held Oldford Group Limited in an all-cash transaction of $4.9 billion. Oldford Group was the parent company of Rational Group Ltd., the largest poker business and owner and operator of the PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker brands. The deal makes Amaya, Inc. the world's largest publicly held online poker company. PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker are collectively the world's most popular and profitable online poker brands with more than 85 million registered players. The transaction closed on August 1, 2014.

In connection with this transaction, Fox Rothschild handled the gaming regulatory review and due diligence and obtained all gaming regulatory approvals in less than 60 days, allowing for the company to close the transaction in record time. The firm also represents Amaya, Inc. and its subsidiaries in the licensing process for online and land based gaming in New Jersey, as well as other jurisdictions. This included extensive due diligence and investigation by the New Jersey regulators to allow them to temporarily license Amaya, Inc. and certain of its subsidiaries for online gaming in New Jersey. Fox Rothschild continues to represent Amaya, Inc. in connection with licensing of its PokerStars/Full Tilt brands in New Jersey and other jurisdictions.
