On August 25, 2014, the European Banking Authority and the
European Securities and Markets Authority published translations of
their Joint Committee final Report on guidelines for handling
consumer complaints in the securities and banking sectors. The
guidelines, which apply to national regulators responsible for
supervising complaints handling by firms, will come into force on
October 25, 2014.
