On 30 April 2014, the Joint Forum published a report on the
differences to point of sale disclosure in investment or savings
products in the insurance, banking and securities sectors,
including recommendations for aligning those disclosure
requirements across the different sectors. The Joint Forum is made
up of the Basel Committee on Banking Standards, the International
Association of Securities Commissions and the International
Association of Insurance Supervisors. The recommendations are
intended as guidance to regulators that are considering developing
or reviewing their point of sale disclosure requirements.
