Fox Rothschild is pleased to present an informative program on the current state of Title IX enforcement actions.  The panel discussion will be held at the Marriott Conshohocken, on Friday March 21, from 8 to 10 a.m.

Fox Partner Kevin Scott will moderate the roundtable, which will highlight the basic tension that exists for colleges and universities seeking to vigorously rid campuses of the blight of sexual violence while simultaneously ensuring the accused are treated fairly and have the ability to defend themselves.  The program will feature insights from panelist S. Daniel Carter and Samantha Harris.

Carter is the director of 32 National Campus Safety Initiatives for the VTV Family Outreach Foundation, a nonprofit organization that advocates for campus safety and security and assists victims of campus crime.  Harris serves as director of Policy Research for the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE), a Philadelphia-based organization whose mission is to defend and sustain individual rights at America's colleges and universities.

As campuses have responded to recent pronouncements on Title IX by shoring up their investigation and hearing procedures, cases have arisen claiming that the manner in which procedures have been conducted have violated the accused's rights. Colleges and universities want to do the right thing but are increasingly challenged by the level of complexity that has arisen in these situations.

The panel will provide the audience with insight and practical guidance on this important topic to take back to and implement on their campuses.
