The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health's
(NIOSH) advisory board will hold a meeting on September 18, 2013,
to evaluate NIOSH's research on hydraulic fracturing and other
workplace topics. NIOSH recently reported that worker
exposure to high silica levels is prevalent at hydraulic fracturing
sites. Director, John Howard will speak on behalf of
