The DOL's Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) has made available Spanish language versions of model notices to employees of health coverage options. The Affordable Care Act (ACA) requires employers to provide employees with a notice of their health insurance coverage options available through the future health insurance exchanges by October 1, 2013. Last month, the EBSA issued guidance on this obligation and model notices in English. The new notices posted on the EBSA's website include a model notice for employers who offer a health plan to some or all employees in Spanish and a model notice for employers who do not offer a health plan in Spanish.
