MSRB Sets Effective Date For Additional Markup Disclosure Requirements

MSRB rule amendments to
MSRB Rule G-15 and
MSRB Rule G-30, which will require broker-dealers and municipal
dealers to disclose the markup or markdown on retail customer
confirmations for specified principal transactions, will become
effective on May 14, 2018. The MSRB
solicited comments on a draft of the amendments on September
24, 2015. The SEC
approved the amendments on November 17, 2016.
