By Memorandum dated October 3, 2013, the Director of the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (Division) advised all Atlantic City casino Chief Executive Officers that casino licensed Internet gaming permit holders will be authorized to commence full Internet gaming operations on November 26, 2013 at 9 a.m. EST.

Prior to going live on November 26, permit holders must conduct a 5-day "soft play" period during which the permit holder's readiness for operating in a live environment will be assessed and approved by the Division. Thus, permit holders wishing to commence Internet gaming on November 26 must commence a soft play period by November 21, 2013.

Additionally, the Director advised that Division is adopting Internet gaming regulations effective October 21, 2013. These regulations include changes to previously published (and temporarily adopted) regulations reflecting public comment, as well as new regulations proposed for adoption. The new proposed regulations will require a new 60-day comment period that will commence once such regulations are proposed for final adoption, but in the interim, the Division will temporarily adopt the changes effective October 28, 2013. Both the adopted and temporarily adopted amendments can be found at http://www.nj.gov/oag/ge/docs/Regulations/Draft_FinalInternetAdoption093013.pdf.

Finally, the Director advised that Division will approve Internet gaming sites (URLs) on a rolling basis, and would maintain a list of such sites on its website at www.njdge.org.
