Katherine Sandberg of the Sacramento office authored the Building Savvy article “The State of Arbitration: Where We’re At, Where We’re Headed, and Where We Want To Go.” In this article, she weighs the pros and cons of arbitration for employers, and reviews the AB 3080 Bill. This bill is currently before the California Legislature, and seeks to prohibit employers from requiring employees to arbitrate any claims they may have under the Fair Employment and Housing Act, or the Labor Code.

Katherine recommends employers have an arbitration agreement in place because the option of arbitration will give employers flexibility in their litigation strategy.
