The NFA's Board of Directors approved an annual dues surcharge of $1,750 on specific member firms engaged in swaps activities. The Board levied this surcharge on future commission merchant, IB, CPO and CTA members on the basis that NFA does not assess fees with respect to NFA's oversight of their swaps activities.

Pending CFTC approval, the dues surcharge will become effective on January 1, 2020 and will be incorporated in all invoices of swap-approved or swap-pending member firms for membership fees payable after that date.
