CFPB's Office of Enforcement Issues a Bulletin
On June 25, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's
Office of Enforcement issued a bulletin outlining four factors that
comprise what the Bureau calls "responsible business
conduct," and noting that these factors might favorably
influence the Bureau when it exercises its enforcement
jurisdiction.

Court Rules Government Cannot Make "Extortionate Demands"
on Persons Seeking Land-Use Permits
In a landmark decision for land use and development, the United
States Supreme Court has ruled under the Fifth Amendment of the
U.S. Constitution that regulatory agencies cannot make
"extortionate demands" on land-use permit
applicants.

DOD Issues Proposed Regulations on the Detection and Avoidance of
Counterfeit Electronic Parts
The proposed regulations make several changes to the Defense
Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement and, if implemented,
will significantly impact contractors who supply products with
electronic parts to the Government.

Executive Order Targets New Sectors of Iranian Economy for
