On June 15, 2018, the European Central Bank announced the
appointment of Petra Senkovic as Director General, in the
Directorate General Secretariat to the Supervisory Board, from July
1, 2018. Ms. Senkovic has been acting Director General since
February 2018. The appointment follows the reorganization of the
ECB's banking supervision division.
