On January 20, 2017, the Bank of England and Financial Services
Act 2016 (Commencement No 4 and Saving Provision) Regulations 2017
came into force. The Regulations set March 1, 2017 as the date on
which certain provisions of the Bank of England and Financial
Services Act 2016 will apply, including those provisions which will
transfer the functions of the PRA to the Bank of England. Those
functions will be exercised through the Prudential Regulation
Committee.
