On 26 August 2015 Companies House published amended implementation dates for key elements of the transparency and filing provisions contained in Parts 7 and 8 of the Enterprise Act. Generally, implementation has been delayed, but some less significant changes have been accelerated. Changes were confirmed in a Companies House press release as follows:
Updated provisional implementation dates published by Companies House
- PSC Register: obligation to keep a register of people with significant control delayed from January 2016 to April 2016
- PSC Register: obligation to file information relating to people with significant control at Companies House – delayed from 6 April 2016 to 30 June 2016
- Confirmation Statement: obligation to file a confirmation statement and notify changes if necessary at least once every 12 months (in place of an Annual Return) – delayed from 6 April 2016 to June 2016
- Statement of Capital: proposed changes to simplify the statement of capital delayed from 6 April 2016 to June 2016
- Company Registers: provisions enabling a company to opt to keep certain information solely in the public register at Companies House – delayed from 6 April 2016 to June 2016
- Director disqualification: proposed amendments to update and strengthen the director disqualification regime – delayed from 6 April 2016 to June 2016
- Prohibition on corporate directors (subject to limited exceptions): delayed form October 2015 to October 2016
