Commenting on the new thresholds, Douglas McLachlan, an Associate in Biggart Baillie LLP's Procurement Team said:-

"The new thresholds will apply from 1 January 2012 to 31 December 2013.  Although the UK Sterling thresholds are pegged to revised Eurozone thresholds, they will remain constant throughout 2012 and 2013 and will not fluctuate against the value of the Euro during that time."
