This study concentrates on the relationship between the Isle of Man and certain historic English legislation.

The question of fraudulent conveyance is currently a matter of concern with Asset Protection Trusts. The original 16th century law is frequently quoted as the origin of the rules and continues to be an influence in many offshore centres. This article is examining the application of the original Statute of Elizabeth and demonstrates the position in an offshore centre of this long-standing English rule.
