p>En una nueva versión del informe anual "Special 301", elaborado por la
Oficina del Representante Comercial de Estados Unidos (USTR, por
sus siglas en inglés), se ubicó a Chile por duodécimo
año consecutivo en la "priority watch
list" por sus bajos niveles de protección a la
propiedad intelectual. En este informe Estados Unidos insta a Chile
a adoptar medidas para hacer frente a los desafíos
relacionados con la protección de la propiedad intelectual,
licencias, patentes y el combate a la piratería. La
Dirección General de Relaciones Económicas
Internacionales (Direcon) reaccionó asegurando que Chile
"ha formado una sólida institucionalidad en materia de
propiedad intelectual, siendo hoy un referente en América
Latina y el Caribe al posicionarse en el primer lugar de la
región en el índice Global de
Innovación".
