On Friday, 2 June 2017, a notice (GNR.489) was published in Government Gazette No. 40883, which contains guidelines/explanatory notes in relation to the Construction Regulations, 2014.

The guidelines/explanatory notes only deal with certain regulations of the Construction Regulations, but do include, among others, important aspects to be considered when applying the existing definitions of "client", "competent person", "construction work" and "temporary works" contained in regulation 1 of the Construction Regulations.
