Keltie LLP announces the recognition of its outstanding legal team at the Managing IP Europe Awards 2024.

Shakeel Ahmad, Partner; Samantha Walker-Smith, Director; and Amelia Ross, Associate, were honoured with the prestigious European Cross-Border Patent Litigation Team of the Year Award. This is for their exceptional contributions to the Ocado against Autostore litigation case.
The award acknowledges Keltie LLP's pivotal role in the multi-jurisdictional legal battle over automated storage and retrieval systems. Shakeel Ahmad, Samantha Walker-Smith, and Amelia Ross demonstrated remarkable legal expertise. This high-profile case was fought in national courts and at the European Patent Office, with several key patents being opposed and appealed.
The Keltie team joined forces with two other leading European firms Abel & Imray LLP and Beck Greener LLP to successfully revoke several key Autostore European patents used against Ocado in the UK litigation. After Ocado’s successes in the ITC, EPO, and UK courts, Autostore reached a £200 million cross-licencing settlement in favour of Ocado.
The EMEA Awards 2024 ceremony was held at the London Hilton on Park Lane on April 11 2024. The awards celebrate excellence in intellectual property law across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. It honoured Shakeel Ahmad, Samantha Walker-Smith, and Amelia Ross for their exceptional achievements.
