Investment funds specialist Guy Dominy has joined international professional services firm Ogier as chief commercial officer (US), further strengthening the firm's long-standing commitment to the North American market.

With more than 20 years of experience in the private funds and legal industries in the Americas, Europe and Asia, Guy is a client-facing former lawyer who helps private investment fund managers, and their onshore counsel, coordinate the set up and maintenance of their offshore investment fund structures and alternative investment vehicles.

Guy will be working alongside Ogier's funds lawyers and corporate administration professionals in the Cayman Islands, one of the largest investment funds teams in the jurisdiction, in addition to the firm's legal and administration teams in London, Dubai, Luxembourg, Ireland, Jersey, Guernsey, BVI and Singapore.

James Bergstrom, Ogier's global head of Investment Funds, said: "Guy's appointment is a significant milestone for our Cayman funds offering and broader global legal and professional services business. His knowledge and experience of the market and deep network will not only support our continued growth but will unlock new value for our clients."

Guy said: "Ogier's leading position within the Cayman private funds market is well-established and continues to go from strength-to-strength for both closed- and open-ended funds. I am honoured to be joining a hugely talented team at an exciting time for the firm. I am very much looking forward to the opportunity that this role presents in ensuring Ogier remains at the forefront of the Cayman and broader international market."

Ogier's investment funds team acts for a large number of alternative investment fund managers and investors across a broad range of strategies, asset classes and geographies. The Ogier team's experience is unmatched in the Cayman market and funds partners work closely with their Cayman-qualified colleagues in Europe and Asia and the firm's funds partners in Luxembourg, Ireland, Jersey, Guernsey and the BVI to ensure a coordinated global outlook and best-in-class legal advice.
