In early 2024, Proskauer Real Estate partners Ronald Sernau and Paul Polking hosted an informal dinner attended by New York-based Proskauer alumni who are now in-house counsel at other organizations, including asset managers, public and private real estate owners and developers, institutional lenders and investors, commercial tenants, luxury retailers, investment banks, real estate funds, sovereign wealth funds, underwriters of real estate securities and pension advisors for an evening of conversation and networking alongside friends and former colleagues.

Guests included alumni now working at AustralianSuper, B2K Development, Corebridge Financial, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. Partners, REI Capital, and Unity Capital, among others.

The evening was the idea of Paul Polking, who shared his vision for bringing together this distinguished group last year. Everyone who attended the event worked at Proskauer over the last 20 years.

"I summered at Proskauer in 2003 and returned the following fall," reflected Polking. "During my more than 20 years at the Firm, I've worked with some incredibly talented attorneys and even better people. It had been too long since the "band" was together, and I thought it was about time. The caliber of Proskauer's people is what makes our Firm such a special place ... I was thrilled to be able to share an evening with this group of industry influencers."
