On October 1, the Italian DPA's Code of Ethics and Conduct for Processing Personal
Data for Business Information Purposes (source document in
Italian) took effect. The adoption of the Code of Ethics, carried
out in a joint effort with trade associations, is mandatory for all
operators collecting data on companies' reliability and
provides fixed principles for valid use of data banks and analysis
instruments.
