On May 20 and May 22, partner Jacqueline Chan, together with managing director of FTI Consulting Ellyn Tan, presented a two-part series of webinars to members of the Singapore Institute of Directors. The webinars, “The Approaching Storm – Know your Corporate Worthiness” and “Into the Storm – Minimise and Repair the Damage,” discussed techniques to understand, and strategies to deal with, distressed scenarios and considerations for a successful corporate restructuring. The presentations also examined the new COVID-19 (Temporary Measures) Act enacted by the Singapore government and the outlook for the restructuring market in Singapore in light of the global pandemic. Both webinars were well received and attended by over 100 attendees each.

The Singapore Institute of Directors is a national association of company directors of commercial companies and non-profit organisations, as well as lawyers, accountants, academics and other professionals in the field of corporate governance. The association provides thought leadership on corporate governance and directorship issues.
