Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India vide its
circular no 2/2014 dated 11.02.2014 restricts the use of the word
"National" in the names of Companies/
Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs) unless it is a Government
Company and the Central/State Government(s) has a stake in it.
Similarly the word "Bank" & "Stock
Exchange" or "Exchange"
may be allowed in the name of an entity only when such entity/
promoters produces a "No objection Certificate" from the
Reserve Bank of India (RBI) & Securities and Exchange Board of
India (SEBI) respectively.
