Following the change to the prompt payment discounts legislation in FA 2014, HMRC has published guidance on how to account for VAT when a prompt payment discount is offered, when the change comes into force on 1 April 2015 (other than in relation to broadcasting and telecommunications services where the operative date is 1 May 2014).
