Orrick's Paris Technology Companies Group advised Redbird in its acquisition by Airware, creating an end-to-end enterprise solution for commercial drone operations.

Redbird is a French startup that develops software tools to collect and process data from drones used by the mining and construction industries. Mines, quarries and construction sites use this sophisticated geospatial data to analyze production quantities and pace, efficiency and safety compliance.

Airware is a U.S.-based drone services startup that created the Aerial Information Platform, an operating system for commercial drones used by several of the largest Fortune 500 companies in the United States to scale their drone operations.

With this combination, customers will benefit from faster, cheaper and higher-quality data and analytics.

Redbird will continue to operate under its own brand in Europe. Its Paris office will also serve as Airware's European headquarters, allowing Airware to expand throughout Europe.
