The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission has issued a circular inviting entities it regulates to participate in the European Banking Authority's survey and data collection in connection with the European Commission's Call for Advice on a new prudential framework for MiFID (Markets in Financial Instruments Directive) investment firms.

AIFMs and UCITS MCs which provide investment services fall within the scope of the data collection exercise, and are encouraged to participate, using the templates and instructions provided by the EBA for the purpose. Responses should be sent to CySEC, which will aggregate them and forward the consolidated figures to the EBA.
