The Cyprus Department of Merchant Shipping has announced the
arrangements for the implementation of Directive 2013/53 / EC on
recreational craft and personal watercraft, which replaced
Directive 94/25/EC as amended with effect from January 18, 2016.
The necessary domestic harmonizing regulations, entitled "The
Basic Requirements (Recreational Craft and Personal Watercraft)
Regulations 2016” have been approved by the government law
office and the regulations are expected to be placed before the
parliament for approval in summer.
