These Regulations have recently been published in the Malta Government Gazette of the 8th of May 2020 and provide that if the Malta Enterprise (the "Corporation") is satisfied that an eligible undertaking requires support to rent industrial space for developing a business activity, the Corporation may provide financial assistance to that eligible undertaking. This assistance shall not exceed €25,000 per annum and covering up to 50% of the cost of the rental.

The Regulations refer to a set of terms and conditions ("Guidelines") which are yet to be published by the Corporation and which Guidelines shall establish the criterion regulating this scheme, including a definition of what constitutes an eligible undertaking.

The Regulations shall be deemed to have come into force as from the 1st of February 2020 and the deadline for the submission of applications for assistance shall be not later than the 31st December 2022.
