2017年4月23日，中国保险监督管理委员会（以下简称" 保监会"）发布了《中国保监会关于进一步加强保险业风险防控工作的通知》（以下简称" 通知"）。通知列明了当前保险业面临的较为突出的九种风险：
- 流动性风险；
- 资金运用风险；
- 战略风险；
- 新型保险业务风险；
- 外部传递性风险；
- 群体性事件风险；
- 底数不清风险；
- 资本不实风险；以及
- 声誉风险。
通知就以上列举的各类风险的防控为保险机构设置了相应的具体要求；并规定对于未能合规履行风险防控义务的保险机构，保监会将追究其主管人以及其他相关人员的责任。
