Companies Have Three Weeks Left For Waiver Period

The Ministry of Financial Services is part of the Cayman Islands Government. The Ministry engages with local and international stakeholders to address policy, regulatory, and legal matters that affect financial services in the Cayman Islands.
In addition, penalty notices that have been issued prior to the start of the waiver period, but have not been paid, will be cancelled.

At 5pm on Friday, 30 October 2015, the Cayman Islands Registrar of Companies will cease its waiver period, which allows local companies to avoid penalty fees for the late filing of changes to directors and officers of companies.

During the waiver period, the Registrar will not impose any penalty fees for the late reporting of director and officer changes filed with the Registrar regardless of when the changes being submitted were made, and how many late changes are submitted.

In addition, penalty notices that have been issued prior to the start of the waiver period, but have not been paid, will be cancelled.
