Sep 04, 2019 – Canada immigration authorities have conducted a new Express Entry draw, issuing Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to 3,600 candidates.

The September 4 draw saw the minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) increase by six points to 463.

The draw saw Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada returns to its regular Wednesday slot, after the previous two draws took place on a Monday and a Tuesday.

An IRCC spokesperson said the move away from Wednesday draws was due to system maintenance requirements.

This was the fifth consecutive draw in which 3,600 ITAs have been issued.

Authorities have now invited 59,800 candidates in 2019, against a high-skilled immigration admission target of 81,400.

IRCC broke the record for annual Express Entry ITAs in 2018 with 89,800.

The draw saw the tie-breaking rule implemented on August 23, 2019 at 9.33am EST. If more than one candidate had the minimum CRS score, only those who submitted their Express Entry profiles before this date and time received invitations.

This was the 18th round of invitations under Express Entry in 2019 and 125th overall.
