January 18, 2019 - Settlement funds required for new Express Entry immigrants coming to Canada have increased for 2019.

January 17, 2019 – Settlement funds required for new Express Entry immigrants coming to Canada system have increased for 2019.

Funds required for a single applicant have increased from $12,474 in 2018, to $12,669 in 2019.

Similar small increases have been applied for each number of family members (see table below).

The new levels apply to both the  Federal Skilled Worker and  Federal Skilled Trades programs, candidates for which are invited through Express Entry.

Certain Canadian Experience Class candidates also need to prove they have the  settlement funds.
