The Government of Canada has announced that it will be imposing provisional safeguard measures starting on October 25, 2018 on imports of seven steel products. These provisional safeguard measures will be in place for 200 days pending the results of the inquiry conducted by the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (Tribunal) which will issue a report on whether some of these measures should be extended for an additional period of time.
