Alberta's Ministry of Labour has commenced a review of the Province's workplace legislation, the Employment Standards Code and the Labour Relations Code, and is currently seeking input from Albertans.

Alberta's Ministry of Labour has commenced a review of the Province's workplace legislation, the Employment Standards Code and the Labour Relations Code, and is currently seeking input from Albertans.  The April 18, 2017 deadline to provide feedback is fast approaching.

An online survey is available at https://extranet.gov.ab.ca/opinio6/s?s=ESCreview to provide feedback on potential changes to the Employment Standards Code.  Albertans may also provide feedback regarding the Employment Standards Code and the Labour Relations Code in writing via email at LBR.Review@gov.ab.ca or by sending a letter to:

With respect to the Employment Standards Code, the Ministry is particularly seeking feedback regarding job protected leaves, including maternity, parental and compassionate care leaves, along with expansion of job protected leaves of absence.
