April 13, 2017- Today, the Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited 3,923 people to apply for Permanent Residence to Canada through Express Entry. The number of invitations increased by an astounding 170 invitations from the last draw on April 5, 2017. This draw set a new minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 423, a drop of 8 points from the last round. With a total of 3,923 candidates invited this time around, this draw also marks another new record for the most ITAs issued in any single draw.

The latest trends follow significant changes made to the Express Entry system. Not only has Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) increased the number of ITAs issued by significantly decreasing the CRS requirement over time- it has also announced a new set of improvements that are due to be implemented on June 6, 2017.
