January 4, 2017 – Today, the Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited 2,902 people to apply for Permanent Residence in Canada through Express Entry. The number of invitations increased slightly from the last draw on December 22, 2016 and is the largest number of invitations ever pulled since the program began on January 31st, 2015. This is the fourth Express Entry draw under the new point distribution and the number of invitations continues to climb. We hope to see this trend continue. The lowest qualifying score was 468, a drop of 7 points from the last round which allowed for more candidates to be accepted.
