Quebec Fills Second Intake Quota For 2016

Quebec immigration authorities received today the maximum of 5,000 new applications under its Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP), bringing the total of applications to 10,000 in 2016 under two intake periods. Quebec plans to implement an Expression of Interest system for 2017.

August 16th 2016 – Quebec immigration authorities received today the maximum of 5,000 new applications under its Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP). The quota of 5000 applications was received before noon.

This was the second intake period held in 2016 by the Quebec Ministry of Immigration, Diversity and Inclusiveness (MIDI).

Profiles created by applicants who could not submit their applications today will be deleted by Quebec immigration authorities at a later date. The date of deletion will be announced by immigration authorities.

Applicants who qualify under the Quebec Experience Program or with a validated job offer may submit an application anytime and are not confined to an intake period.  Additionally, applicants with a valid study or work permit are not confined to an intake period.
