The Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) will replace a number of provisions of the Dealer Member Rules and the Universal Market Integrity Rules relating to enforcement, procedure and other related matters with a new combined body of rules (the Consolidated Rules).  The Consolidated Rules will also incorporate the IIROC Rules of Practice and Procedure. The Consolidated Rules will be implemented on September 1, 2016, except Rule 8300 (Hearing Committee) which was effective as of June 9, 2016.

A new transition rule will ensure that the provisions of the Consolidated Rules affecting the substantive rights of regulated persons apply only to conduct that occurs on or after September 1, 2016.
