February 16, 2016 – The deadline for the requirement for Canada's Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) is fast approaching. Effective March 15, 2016, all travellers to Canada or transiting through Canada, from visa-exempt countries, will need to apply for an eTA prior to boarding a plane. The new eTA requirement also affects individuals currently in Canada on work or study permits who want to travel outside of Canada and return by air.

The online application can be found at www.canada.ca/eTA.

If you are a Permanent Resident of Canada with a Permanant Resident card that has expired or close to expiring, you may experience delays to your travel plans. As well, individuals with inadmissibility issues may also experience delays to their travel plans.
