September 18, 2015 – Citizenship and Immigration Canada has issued another round of invitations through Express Entry. A total of 1,545 invitations to apply for Permanent Residence were issued on September 18th, with a lowest qualifying score of 450 points.

This is the eighth consecutive draw for which qualifying scores have been below the 600 point benchmark, and the lowest qualifying score yet recorded. Candidates in Express Entry are assigned a score using the Comprehensive Ranking System. Up to 600 points are assigned based on skill factors, including language, employment history, and education. An additional 600 points are awarded to candidates who hold a valid job offer supported by a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA). This round of invitations included both candidates with, and without, an LMIA.

Since the program's inception a total of 22,012 invitations have been issued.
