Emerging talents abounded at the Energy New Venture Competition on January 26, 2015. The hugely successful event saw Calgary-based Leankor take home the top prize, worth $50,000 in cash and in-kind services.

Organized by the Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Calgary, the event provided an opportunity for new entrepreneurs, start-up businesses, researchers, and students to showcase their emerging energy technology companies and concepts in front of industry experts and the investment community. The judges lauded Leankor for its versatile and enterprise-ready visual process management system, which can be adapted by teams of any size and in any industry to streamline workflow and efficiently collaborate on projects. As a gold sponsor, Davis LLP is proud to provide Leankor with $25,000 of in-kind services to help bring their innovation to a broader marketplace.

Davis LLP has extensive experience working with various sectors in the Canadian energy industry. As a progressive firm that values entrepreneurship, Davis appreciates the integral strengthening of the Canadian marketplace that is made possible by investment in technological developments and business innovation. We are proud to be supporters of the Energy New Venture Competition and congratulate this year's award recipients.
