On October 30, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada
released its annual report, which found that the number of
data breaches reported to Canada's Federal Privacy Agency by
other Canadian government agencies more than doubled during the
2013–2014 fiscal year, but the number of privacy complaints
filed by individual Canadians decreased.
