November 3, 2014 – the Government of Canada announced that, effective immediately, it will no longer issue visas in the worker, student or visitor categories to residents of countries facing widespread Ebola outbreaks. In addition, all permanent residency applications for residents of those countries will be suspended. This includes any applications already made or in process.
