The Ontario Securities Commission announced yesterday that it is adding two educational seminars to its Registrant Outreach program intended to assist registrants in satisfying compliance obligations. Upcoming seminars include a consideration of the OBSI complaint handling process in October and a talk on calculating participation fees in November.

As we've previously discussed, the CSA  published guidance last month in respect of the OBSI dispute resolution mechanism, while the OSC Compliance and Registrant Regulation Branch identified the issue of  registrants incorrectly calculating participation fees in a report last year.
