The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada recently released "Ten Tips for a Better Online Privacy Policy and Improved Privacy Practice Transparency".  The tips center around providing clear information that is relevant to your users, providing contact information, and making privacy information accessible.  Even if you already have a privacy policy posted on your website, it is still worthwhile to review these tips to determine whether your policy should be amended or clarified.<
